Processing steps

The process will follow these steps:

  1. An initial briefing to be conducted (via conference call or in person) to gather all the client’s specific requirements and objectives, evaluate potential options, and fully understand the client’s expectations.

  2. Creation of a document outlining the key points of the briefing.

  3. Sending the briefing document for approval by the client.

  4. Study and analysis of the workflow and all required functionalities using the morphological matrix and the mind map.

  5. Definition of the architecture and structure of the new custom software.

  6. Definition of the time required for the development of the new custom software.

  7. Presentation of the new custom software project, including workflow, architecture, and discussion of any required changes (via conference call or in person).

  8. Client’s signed approval of the specifications for the new custom software. Any changes or updates to the workflow, structure, or features after approval will incur additional costs, ranging from 20%-50%, once the development phase has begun.

  9. Development of the new custom software on the Big-Box platform.

  10. A testing phase is initiated before publishing the project to ensure it works properly in all functions and is free from bugs.

  11. Sharing a demo version of the new custom software for review of all pages and functions, and final confirmation.

  12. Client’s signed approval of the demo version of the project.

  13. Go-live of the new custom software. Once the new features are live, any changes to the project will be quoted separately.

  14. Initial training on the use of the Backend of the new custom software on the Big-Box platform. Between 2 to 8 hours of training will be provided, depending on the complexity of the project, as defined during the quotation phase. Training will be delivered remotely by our support team via screen sharing.

  15. Once the site is live, a technical support period of 6 months will begin, covering the resolution of any bugs or malfunctions. Any updates or changes to the project are not included in technical support and will be quoted separately.</p>

Developing custom software can be an excellent choice for businesses with specific needs that cannot be met by off-the-shelf software. Here are some of the advantages of custom software:

Custom software can be designed to meet the specific needs of the business in terms of functionality, performance, and user interface. This can lead to improved efficiency and effectiveness of business processes, as well as increased customer satisfaction.

Custom software can be easily updated and modified to meet the evolving needs of the business. This can help the business remain competitive and respond to customer demands.

Custom software can be designed to meet the business’s specific security requirements. This can help protect the company’s data from unauthorized access.

Custom software can be managed and controlled by the business itself. This can help the company reduce costs and improve the quality of service.

If your business has specific needs that cannot be met by off-the-shelf software, developing custom software may be the best solution for you.

The development of custom software for your business depends on several factors, including the complexity of the project, the required features, the available resources, and any integrations with other systems. There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, but we can provide you with some guidelines based on our experience.

In general, we can divide the development process into four main phases: analysis, design, implementation, and testing. Each phase requires a variable amount of time depending on your specific needs and the nature of the software.
The analysis phase consists of studying your needs, objectives, and operational processes in order to define the functional and non-functional requirements of the software. This phase can last from a few days to several weeks, depending on the complexity of the problem and the level of detail required.

- The design phase involves defining the architecture, technologies, methodologies, and tools to be used for software development.
- The implementation phase is the actual creation of the software, following the specifications defined in the previous phases. This phase can take several months, depending on the size, quality, and functionality of the software.
- The testing phase involves verifying and validating the software to ensure that it meets the requirements and works correctly under all conditions. This phase can take several weeks.
As you can see, the time required to develop custom software for your business is not easily predictable, as it depends on many factors that may change during the project. However, we can assure you that our expert team will provide you with an effective, efficient, and customized solution, adhering to the highest standards of quality and security.

The contractual clauses governing intellectual property, warranty, and post-sale support of the software are essential to protect the interests of both the seller and the buyer.

Intellectual Property
According to the intellectual property clause, OIS Agency specifies that it is the exclusive owner of all intellectual property rights to the software, including copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets. The buyer agrees not to use, copy, modify, distribute, or resell the software without the seller’s express written consent.

Warranty
The warranty clause specifies that OIS Agency guarantees that the software will comply with the specifications and be free from material defects. The buyer has the right to request repair of the software if it does not conform to the specifications within the first 6 months after the software goes live.

Support and Post-Sale Assistance
The post-sale support and assistance clause in the contract will specify that OIS Agency will provide the buyer with free support and assistance for the first 6 months. Support and assistance during the following 6 months will be provided with the purchase of a technical support package and may include updates, issue resolution, and user training.

It is important that the contractual clauses governing intellectual property, warranty, and post-sale support of the software are clearly written and understood. They should be carefully negotiated by both parties and included in the sales contract.
